During a press conference held at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business building in Yeouido, Seoul, on Oct. 20, Innobiz Association Chairman Lee Kyu-dae said, “We will hold business meetings in Vietnam, and increase the number of technology convergence Investment groups sent out by three times this year and five next year. Also, we will regularly host Korea-China corporate business meetings six times a year in China, and increase the number of on-site trainings to four in order for Korean firms to enter the Chinese market.”

Until now, the Innobiz Association has been diversifying its export markets and directly making exchanges with government agencies in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia in order to help Korean companies to make inroads into those markets. In particular, the association had a notable achievement in the exchanges with Heilongjiang Province in China. Korean and Chinese government agencies and companies had business matching events in both Korea and China, and the Innobiz Association’s office was established in Heilongjiang Province in China on Oct. 11. The association is planning to exchange technology with Iran and carry out new business matching projects in the future. Also, it will support the eco-friendly innovative technology consulting business of the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC), and increase the number of overseas exhibitions for new market opening.

Lee said, “We have gained footholds in Vietnam, China, and Indonesia for businessmen of the Innobiz Association. We are also planning to continuously expand support to domestic small and medium companies through the ASEIC for the global market invasion.” Innobiz will hold “The 1st Eco-innovation Global Forum” for ASEM member countries in Nov.

The event will be organized by the ASEIC, an international cooperation institution founded by Innobiz. With a theme of “SMEs’ Eco-friendly Innovation Praxis and Future Tasks,” the event will review the current eco-innovation business of ASEM member countries and propose a direction for the future in order to encourage its member countries to take part. It will be attended by 150 people from 20 different countries.
