The largest economic delegation in Korea’s history accompanies President Park Geun-hye during her state visit to the United States from Oct. 13.

Specifically, the delegation consists of 166 persons from 164 companies, including SK Group chairman Choi Tae-won, Hanjin Group Chairman Jo Yang-ho, POSCO Chairman Kwon Oh-joon, Kyobo Life Insurance Chairman Shin Chang-jae, Samsung Electronics President Park Sang-jin, Hyundai Motor Company President Jung Jin-haeng, Hyosung Vice Chairman Jo Hyun-sang, Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry head Park Yong-man, Federation of Korean Industries Chairman Heo Chang-soo, Korea Development Bank Chairman Hong Ki-taek, Korea Electric Power Corporation head Jo Hwan-ik, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency President Kim Jae-hong, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation President Kim Young-hak, Kibo Steel CEO Choi Seung-ok, Kim & Chang representative attorney Hyun Hong-joo, Naver CEO Kim Sang-hun, Boryung Pharmaceutical Company Chairman Kim Eun-sun, and Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Chairman Lee Jang-han.

They were selected among those who filed applications for the visit on http://president.globalwindow.org or the official website of the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy. By organization, the delegation is made up of 22 large corporations, 115 small and medium enterprises, and 27 economic organizations and public organizations. For reference, the number of the people who followed President Park Geun-hye to the United States two years ago was 51.
