SK Holdings C&C announced on Oct. 6 that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BISTel to develop solutions for the optimization of production process based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data, as well as predictive maintenance.

BISTel is a hidden champion in the fields of manufacturing and engineering in the nation, and it owns engineering solutions to automate factories based on big data analysis.

The two companies will cooperate to develop platforms and solutions that analyze big data in real time, which is generated by equipment and production facilities in the semiconductor, energy, and chemical industries. It will be done by combining SK Holdings C&C's system integration expertise and ICT development capabilities with BISTel's capability to develop solutions that analyze manufacturing and engineering areas.

Through this partnership, both companies plan to find the meaning of big data and provide support for fast diagnosis and action in the production site through data visualization using graphics.

If anomalous data is discovered after analyzing customized big data in real time, the two companies will increase predictive maintenance capabilities by identifying problems with related manufacturing processes right away and suggesting what should be improved.

In addition, SK Holdings C&C and BISTel are planning to optimize the production process that can maintain the best productivity by automatically detecting and notifying data on machines and facilities that bring about a slowdown in productivity.
