SPC Group's bakery brand Paris Baguette announced on Sept. 15 that it would support “Forum Des Images-Séoul hypnotique,” an official cultural event for the “Years 2015-2016 of Korea-France Bilateral Exchanges,” which marks the 130th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and France.

The Forum Des Images-Séoul hypnotique is a Korean film festival hosted by Forum des Images (Chairman Mark Tessier), a cultural institution in Paris, France. It is a large cultural event that plays 70 Korean movies with 120 showings from Sept. 15 to Nov. 1 (local time). As it is the largest ever Korean movie festival in France, it is a very meaningful event for the domestic culture and art industry.

As the official sponsor of the event, Paris Baguette will provide bottled water with the company’s logo on it to audience and film industry officials who attend the opening ceremony. Also, the company will offer coupons for complimentary services, which can be used in any Paris Baguette stores in France, to the audience who purchases film festival tickets. Moreover, Paris Baguette will sell its major products and “Kopan,” Korean bread made from sweet red bean buns and cream, at the event hall during the film festival.

Paris Baguette has tapped into the French market last year for the first time in the domestic bakery industry, and is currently running two stores in the center of Paris, receiving positive consumer response. The company has decided to sponsor the event in a bid to improve the brand image and contribute to promoting exchanges between Korea and France
