LG Electronics is aiming at the Middle Eastern premium TV market with its new organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs.

It announced on Aug. 19 (local time) that it unveiled the company’s latest OLED TV line-up at a launch event held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, attended by 500 people, including local customers and reporters.

With the theme of “Perfect Black, Perfect Color,” LG Electronics presented 77, 65, and 55-inch models of its new Ultra OLED TV line-up at the event. This is the first time to unveil LG’s 4K Ultra HD OLED TV in the Middle Eastern market.

Unlike existing LCD TVs, the new LG OLED TV delivers perfect black and colors with an infinite contrast ratio as well as wider viewing angles thanks to its self-lighting pixels. Also, the new panel is only 5 millimeters thick.

LG Electronics Middle East and Africa regional CEO Cha Guk-hwan said, “In the premium TV market in Middle East, where global TV manufacturers are in tough competition, we are planning to have a head-to-head contest with our unequaled OLED TVs. With our premium TVs’ overwhelming image quality, which is recognized as the best in the global market, we will be able to give the best viewing experience possible to users in Middle East.”
