Samsung Galaxy A8 to be Released in China on July 17

China’s largest electronics retailer Suning Appliance announced on July 8 that it has started receiving advance orders for the Galaxy A8 in the morning on the same day and will officially sell the product from July 17.

Suning has also unveiled the product’s appearance and specifications to some extent. The Galaxy A8 is only 5.94 mm thick and has almost bezel-less display. Also, the product features a 16 MP rear-facing camera with an f1.9 aperture, a 3,050 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and offers 4G LTE support.

Moreover, the Galaxy A8 features a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory storage, and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The product weighs 151 grams and measures 158 × 76.8 mm.

The Galaxy A8 is also about to be released in the domestic market after the completion of radio wave authentication on June 28. Considering the fact that there is only one model name, SM-A800S, the product is highly likely to be the phone for SK Telecom subscribers only in Korea.

The price of the product is still unknown. According to French IT news site NoWhereElse, however, the Galaxy A8 will go on sale in Europe for roughly €439 (US$485 or 550,000 won).
