Kumho Tire announced on March 10 that the governor of the state of Louisiana in the United States visited its headquarters.

An Asian trade delegation led by Governor John Bel Edwards visited Kumho Tire’s headquarters in Seoul and met with Kumho Tire’s management. Kumho Tire CEO Jeong Il-taek, Vice President Lim Seung-bin, and SCM2 Managing Director Lee Eun-seon received the Louisiana delegation consisting of Governor Edwards, Minister Donald Pierson, and economic officials from the U.S. state.

This visit was paid to express appreciation for Kumho Tire’s announcement of participation in the Louisiana Logistics Center Project in January and to request the expansion of the partnership between the company and the state.

Kumho Tire plans to set up a logistics base in Dallas, Texas, before the opening of the NOLA Logistics Center, then secure logistics infrastructure and other facilities necessary for the NOLA Logistics Center and accelerate transactions with major customers in the near future.

Kumho Tire expects to respond to changes in the global logistics environment by opening additional warehouses in the United States, expand sales activities in the southern and midwestern areas of the country, and secure logistics competitiveness.
