Korean golfer Park In-bee (27, KB Financial Group) has set a new milestone in golf history by becoming the first player to win a single major championship three times in a row and three championships in a row, in which usual players barely participate.

On June 15 (Korean time), Park In-bee won the LPGA Tour KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Harrison, New York, for the third year in a row.

She has become the third woman player to win a single major championship for three consecutive times, following Patty Berg of the U.S. in 1939 and Annika Sorenstam of Sweden in 2005.

Park In-bee also set the record in 2013 after she won three major championships, such as the Nabisco Championship, LPGA Championship, and U.S. Open Championship, in a row.

Even highly respected players who dominated the times, like Berg and Sorenstam, could not accomplish such a result. Not even a male player has won a single championship three times in a row and three major championships in a row at the same time.
