Sohn said, “The dream of CJ is to spread Korean and Chinese culture to the world and to become a global cultural messenger to promote understanding and friendship through this.”

On the same day, popular actress Lee Young-ae, film director Yoon Je-kyun, who made two films that drew 10 million viewers, and TV program producer Na Young-seok attended the event to explain the production process of Hallyu cultural content.

Zhang’s visit to CJ Group shows the Chinese government’s high interest in the cultural content industry.

Before the talk, Zhang looked around the Korean cultural content production system, including broadcasting studios at CJ E&M Center, with 10 other visitors, including Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui and Qiu Guohong, Chinese ambassador to the Republic of Korea. Then, they experienced the 4DX version of the movie titled Roaring Currents, which was played in China, in its projection room.
