Officials of Saudi Arabia’s three government agencies in charge of AI and data-related policies visited Naver’s second office building 1784, the world’s first robot-friendly building, on Feb. 27. Exchanges between the two sides have steadily continued since a visit to Naver by Majed Al-Hogail, minister of home affairs and housing of Saudi Arabia, in November 2022.

The Saudi officials were from the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), National Information Center (NIC) and National Data Management Office (NDMO).

Naver discussed the latest technologies related to AI, cloud, data, and metaverse  with the officials.

The visiting group had 19 experts, including officials from the Saudi Arabian government and the World Bank. They included Alhassan Alhazmi, general manager of Saudi Arabia’s Data and Artificial Intelligence Agency.

From Naver were Naver External/ESG Chief Chae Seon-joo, Naver Labs CEO Seok Sang-ok, Naver Cloud Managing Director Han Sang-young, Naver Cloud AI LAB Director Ha Jeong-woo and Naver Search CIC Leader Choi Jae-ho.
