Delivering a keynote address in the 2015 SK Global Form held in Silicon Valley on June 5 (local time), SK C&C CEO Park Jung-ho presented the ICT sector growth strategy and direction of the SK Group and made efforts to attract global talent.

The SK Global Form, which began in 2012, is a joint activity of the group to secure talent. The forum of the ICT sector is being held in Silicon Valley, while that in the energy and chemicals sectors is being held on the East Coast in the U.S. every year.

The forum on this day is attended by about 100 global figures in ICT companies and research institutes. Also, SK Group’s IT companies – SK Telecom, SK Hynix, SK C&C, and SK Planet – took part in the forum and presented their new growth strategies in the ICT industry, planning to secure global ICT talent.

On the same day, SK C&C CEO Park Jung-ho mentioned the growth strategies and mutual development opportunities as a global ICT company, showing its aggressive intention to secure global ICT talent.

In the keynote address, Park announced that the SK Group will become a global company leading global ICT trends based on its DNA of change and growth, potential to expand IT services, expertise in mobile services, platform-based growth, and the excellent ICT capability of a global top semiconductor company.

He also added that an integrated SK Corporation, which will be merged between SK C&C and SK Holdings on Aug. 1, will become a leading global ICT company to combine existing ICT businesses with convergence technologies including the Internet of Things, Big Data and Cloud, and to create new future value including Smart Factories, Convergence Physical Security, and Cloud.

With the global partnership with Hon Hai Group, SK C&C is planning to secure global technologies and expand its global stronghold, while expanding ICT service and solutions in the global market.

Park said that SK C&C already has the greatest number of IT engineers among the companies in the group. He said, however, that the most important thing in order for new SK C&C to grow into the global ICT leading company after the merge is to secure and train more global talent, asking participating global ICT figures in the forum to pay more attention and interest.
