LG Display is set to unroll the world’s largest and first rollable display.

From June 2 to 5, the company is introducing an 18-inch (45.72 cm) flexible display to the public at the Society for Information Display (SID) 2015 being held at the San Jose Convention Center in the U.S.

The curvature radius of the panel is 30R. Users should be able to roll up the panel up to a maximum radius of 3 cm without affecting the display's function. Also, it means it is possible to create large rollable TVs more than 50 inches big in the future.

Previously, LG Display joined hands with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to develop an Ultra HD flexible and OLED panel more than 60 inches (152.4 centimeters) big, with more than 40 percent transparency and a curvature radius of 10 cm by 2017. In the process, the company successfully developed 18-inch flexible and transparent OLED panels.
