Best LCD TV

A review comparing Samsung and LG Electronics' LCD-based TVs, known for being the best in the industry, is receiving a lot of attention.

According to industry sources on May 27, the Australian posed a review on May 19 of Samsung's 65" SUHD TV (model: JS9500) and LG's 65" SUHD TV (model: UF950T).

Using “nanocrystal technology,” Samsung's SUHD TV is 2.5 times brighter and has 10 times greater contrast ratio compared to existing products. “Wide Color LED” technology was used in LG's model to improve the picture color reproduction rate.

Ultimately, LG's super UHD TV narrowly beat Samsung's model.

The article mentioned the possibility of upgrading previous models with the latest standard, convenient interface of the Tizen OS, and high-quality streaming as Samsung model's strengths. However, its price is expensive (RRP $9,999) and it cannot use streaming service apps for certain videos. As for the curved screen, it said, "I’m yet to be convinced a curved screen offers more than aesthetic appeal.”

When it comes to LG's super ultra HD TV, its convenient and intuitive interface like a PC, excellent color reproduction rate, and upscaling of HD content were highly praised. Nevertheless, it reportedly has a limited range of apps. An upgrade to the next model is not possible, either. As far as LG's “ultra luminance technology” is concerned, it accentuates blacks and whites, which may lead to extreme brightness.

In the end, Samsung's model was given 8.5 points out of ten, and LG's model with 9.

The review concluded by saying, “Both sets offer fantastic quality, it’s tough to pick a winner at all, but LG’s is $3500 cheaper, which gives it the nod.”
