SK Group will showcase about 40 new technologies and products, including world-class net-zero technologies, with global partners at CES 2023, which runs in Las Vegas in the United States from Jan. 5 to 8 (local time). It announced on Jan. 4 that its eight affiliates including SK Inc. will run an integrated SK Group exhibition hall under the theme of “Together in Action” at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

The SK Group Pavilion will show technologies, services and products from SK Inc., SK Innovation, SK E&S, SK Hynix, SK Telecom, SK Ecoplant, SKC and SK Biopharm. In particular, 10 partner companies, including Plug Power and TerraPower of the United States and Plastic Energy of the United Kingdom, will also participate to show off their technological prowess as members of a global carbon-neutral alliance.

Previously, at CES 2022 held in January of last year, SK Group announced that it would reduce one percent (200 million tons) of the global carbon reduction target by 2030. It adopted “Going Together” as its theme in an effort to express its will to call on people to join SK Group’s carbon reduction movement.

About 10 SK Group top executives will attend CES 2023, including SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won, SK Group senior vice chairman Chey Jae-won, SK Discovery vice chairman Chey Chang-won, SK Supex Pursuit Council chairman Cho Dae-shik.

SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won plans to observe cutting-edge technologies of major Korean and foreign companies on Jan. 5. In particular, he will promote net-zero cooperation between global companies and SK Group, while asking for their cooperation in Busan’s bid to host the Expo 2030.

“Through CES 2023, SK Group will publicize itself as a company with the broadest business portfolio and technological prowess in the field of carbon reduction,” an SK Group official said.
