Incheon International Airport has topped the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) list for 10 years in a row. It is the first airport in the world to do so.

At 7 p.m. on April 28 (local time) or 1 a.m. April 29 (Korea time), Incheon International Airport received its tenth consecutive award at the 2015 ASQ awards ceremony hosted by the Airport Council International (ACI) being held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre in Jordan.

From 2005 to 2014, Incheon International Airport has ranked 1st in the global ASQ rankings. Also, the Korean airport received two awards in the categories of airports by region and by size. They were the top-performing airport in the Asia-Pacific and among big airports that see more than 40 million passengers per year.

In the case of best airport by size, particularly, Incheon International Airport surpassed 40 million passengers per year from 2013, and it was classified as a big airport for the first time in the survey. Therefore, it is a more meaningful achievement after competing with the world’s top airports such as Singapore Changi Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport.

The awards ceremony took place as part of the 2015 ACI Asia-Pacific general meeting held in Amman, Jordan from April 27 to 29. At the ceremony, the awards of four categories were given – the best performing airport by size, the best performing airport by region, the best performing airport by region with less than 2 million passengers a year, and the most improved airport.

Incheon International Airport Corp. CEO Park Wan-su said, “With Incheon International Airport setting a global record of offering the world’s best airport service for 10 years in a row in the ASQ survey, the only global measurement for airport customer satisfaction, we have become a global brand. We will not be complacent and will make another leap to become the global hub airport in cooperation with 40,000 employees of the airport.”
