The South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MTIE) and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIFP) will hold the 2015 Global Mobile Vision (GMV) from Sept. 16 to 18 at KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea, according to a KINTEX representative. The eighth GMV will be double the size of last years’.

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has invited 300 companies in order to support South Korea’s export of mobile and information technologies, the KINTEX representative said. In addition, 300 South Korean companies including the IT related ones in the Creative Economy Innovation Centre (CEIC), the KINTEX representative said.

At the GMV Conference, there will be presentations about IT industry trends and development provisions, as well as expert debates on the Internet of Things, Fintech, security, and start-ups, which will introduce business strategies of mobile innovation and success cases, the KINTEX representative said.

At the Start-up Special Exhibition, there will be South Korean start-up promotion for overseas markets and investments, as well as start-up conferences and recruitment events.

Han Sang-gon, the IT project leader of KOTRA, said that the GMV will function as a business platform linking South Korean and overseas buyers, making a “huge” contribution to South Korean IT industry. He expects expansion of exports and global cooperation for mobile solution development. He will support the export of start-ups of the 18 local CEIC, participating in the GMV.
