Thorough Investigation

South Korea's Asiana Airlines is suspending flights to Hiroshima, Japan until the end of April, the company said on April 17.

Asiana Airlines will inspect the safety procedures of the route, including the facilities of the Hiroshima Airport, airplanes, and flight discipline, the company said.

Asiana Airlines plans improve any safety problems found during the inspection period as well, it said.

During the suspension period, Asiana Airlines will provide alternative routes, rescheduled flights, or full refunds to customers that are affected by the suspension of service, the company said.

Asiana Airlines will note its flight schedules to Hiroshima via its webpage, reservation center and social network service..

An Asiana Airlines flight missed the runway at Hiroshima's airport on April 14, clipping a communications tower about 300 meters before the start of the runway.
