Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) announced on November 10 that its 2015 annual report received a gold award at the 2016 Spotlight Awards.

The Spotlight Awards is an international competition for printed and publicity materials, sponsored by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), a global marketing research firm. To select the winners this year, a panel of communication professionals affiliated with the LACP reviewed more than 1500 entries.

Test runs ofr the newly built Alpensia Sliding Center were successfully held from October 25 to 29 in the host city of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

For 5 days, 28 athletes and officials from 10 nations represented the International Luge Federation (FIL) while 50 athletes and officials from seven nations participated for the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). Each team was able to carry out at least three laps to test the new sliding center.

E-Land Group’s travel arm Tour Mall announced on Oct. 12 that it will attract Chinese tourists in earnest by linking up with the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Tour Mall signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s state-run travel agency China Youth Travel Service (CYTS). Based on it, the company plans to attract a total of 10,000 MICE tourists by the end of the first half of next year.

Tour Mall succeeded in attracting 3,500 group tourists from China’s biotechnology firm Longrich BioScience first.

In a bid to promote the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games Olympics at home and aboard and attract foreign tourists to Korea, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is hosting the K-pop Festival at the 20,000-seat Gocheok Sky Dome baseball stadium at 7 pm on September 8.

The lineup of the festival includes top k-pop stars such as Shinee, Beast, Wonder Girls, Monsta X, Cosmic Girls, Boys Republic and B.A.P. Pyeongchang Day was held at Copacabana Beach during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics on August 9 in the local time.

Thomas Bach, chairman of the IOC took part in Pyeongchang Day and tried VR Ski Jump at the KT booth. The Pyeongchang Booth opened on July 6 in the local time and will run until August 21 as a space to publicize the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games on August 21.
