The Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) and Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation (KEF) announced on July 3 that they will run “Startup Garden 2017” international exchange program, which allows college students to experience European entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem in Finland.

The two parties selected six teams consisting of 14 college students who have creative ideas or items as participants for the program, which is jointly run by Aalto University in Finland. The Startup Garden 2017 will offer lectures, workshops and field trips to agencies.

The participants will learn necessary knowledge to create and operate startups and take special lectures and mentoring classes from local experts at the Aalto University campus located in the City of Espoo, Finland, from July 17 to August 11 so that they can develop their ideas and technologies into global business models. In addition, they are planning to build a global network through mutual exchanges with local entrepreneur-to-be and startups.

Nam Min-woo, chairman of the KEF, said, “The program will be a good experience and opportunity for students who are preparing to start a business because they can experience the European startup ecosystem based on entrepreneurship.”
