‘CJ Cup@Nine Bridges’: CJ Group to Hold Regular PGA Tour Tournament | BusinessKorea

The CJ Group announced that the group will hold the CJ Cup@Nine Bridges, a regular PGA Tour tournament at Jeju Club Nine Bridge for four days from October 19 to 22. The event will be sponsored by the CJ Group's food brand, Bibigo.

"The PGA Tour is a global tournament watched by 1 billion viewers in 227 countries around the world along with the Olympics," said Gyeong Wook-ho, vice president of the Marketing Office at the CJ Group. "We will use CJ as an opportunity to not only nurture Korean male golfers and vitalize the local economy of Cheju Island but help CJ such as Bibigo Brand go global.”

"Sponsorship for the PGA tour is a long-cherished desire of CJ Group chairman Lee Jae-hyun," a CJ Group official said. CJ has steadily carried out sports marketing through sponsorship for golf such as holding the first LPGA tour in Korea."

The CJ Group expects more than 40,000 people to participate in this event and greatly contribute to tourism and economic revitalization in Jeju. In addition, CJ Cheiljedang's global brand Bibigo, an official sponsorship brand, focuses on publicizing Korean food in a variety of ways including special menu development, events, and global advertising.

During the tournament period, there will be some spaces where you can try various menus of Bibigo. For the first hole-in-one player at the Bibigo Signature Hole (13th hole), a chef will visit the golfer and provide a US$ 50,000 K-food party for nothing.
